Aquamarine

Our select rough is imported from
Nigeria, Pakistan, and Brazil and is
generally cut to sizes ranging from
2-8cts. in medium dark, medium, and
medium light colors and saturation.   
Clarity is eye clean and any exceptions
are so stated. We assumed that most
rough is heat treated.
Amethyst - Aquamarine - Chrome Diopside- Helidor/Golden Beryl - Garnet - Morganite - Opal - Peridot - Pink
Tourmaline - Rubellite Tourmaline - Sapphire - Spessartine Garnet - Topaz -Tourmaline
Helidor/Golden Beryl

The rough of this member of the Beryl  
family is imported from Russia and
Brazil.  Generally large rough is
available therefore we can offer large
eye clean gems up to 8 cts. in size.
Heat treating is usual to remove green
undertones.
Morganite

This light pinkish/peach colored Beryl
is found in many locations including
Brazil and  Africa and we offer finished
gems in sizes up to 5 + cts.  Stones
are eye clean.  Heat treatment is usual.
Malaya & Rhodolite Garnet

We select quality rough from several
locations in Africa.  Good supply
insures good value in gems from 2 to 5
cts. Clarity is eye clean with good color
saturation. Not usually treated.

Peridot

Pakistan, Brazil, and Arizona are the
sources of our rough gem material.  
Most cut gems are medium to deep
green with little or no overtones of
yellow or olive.  Eye clean to slight
veils (will be clearly so stated) is the
standard clarity in finished goods from
1.5-7 cts. on average. Not usually
treated. Type II.
Sapphire

Australia and Africa are our major
sources. Color is from medium to dark
blue with a range of colors including
blue, blue violet, purpleish/blue.  
Ranging from .75 cts to 2.75 cts as
standard with some larger stones
available.  Based upon availability we
also offer yellow sapphire in 1to 2 ct
stones. Type II. Heat treating is common
and Beryllium diffusion is sometime
used to create Orange (Padparadscha)
color.  We neither knowingly buy
diffusions treated goods nor do we treat
any rough that we have purchased.
Spessartine Garnet

Our spessartine comes only from
Nigeria and is prized for it brightness
and beautiful redish/orange color.  
Finished goods from .60 cts to 2.5 cts.  
Gems are usually eye clean or small
inclusions which will be so noted.
Tourmaline

Nigeria, Brazil &, Zambia are our major
sources of various colors of
tourmaline.  Colors offered include but  
are not limited to various shades of
green,  blue green, blue (Indicolite),
pink, and red (rubellite).  Finished
goods from 2 to 9 cts in various color
saturation/intensities. Type I and II and
heat enhancement is often performed.
Usually eye clean.
Opal

The usual source of our opal rough
comes from the fields of Australia
including Coober Pedy and Lightening
Ridge.  At time we do bring in Brazilian
rough and also Mexican rough which
we may facet. We do not knowlingly
buy enhanced opal rough.
